SEARCH RESULTS FOR: new zealand fur seal

Two of my Antarctic Penguin images received an Acceptance award in the 2026 PSNZ Sony National Exhibition. The PSNZ Sony National Exhibition is an annual photographic exhibition run by PSNZ (Photographic Society of New Zealand) and showcases work from New Zealand photographers. A storm over the Glenorchy end of Lake Wakatipu causes dramatic light rays to reign down on the landscape. It was an amazing afternoon beside the lake, watching the storm clouds roll in and out, and the light rays dance across the landscape. I was with a couple of friends, and we spent about two hours here taking photos and watching the drama unfold. It was a beautiful sunny morning when I made this photograph of a New Zealand Fur Seal pup. I love how the golden early morning sun makes the seal pups fur glow. New Zealand fur seals, Arctocephalus forsteri, are found in colonies along the Wellington and Wairarapa coastlines. To View More >>
