A storm over the Glenorchy end of Lake Wakatipu causes dramatic light rays to reign down on the landscape. It was an amazing afternoon beside the lake, watching the storm clouds roll in and out, and the light rays dance across the landscape. I was with a couple of friends, and we spent about two hours here taking photos and watching the drama unfold. It was a beautiful sunny morning when I made this photograph of a New Zealand Fur Seal pup. I love how the golden early morning sun makes the seal pups fur glow. New Zealand fur seals, Arctocephalus forsteri, are found in colonies along the Wellington and Wairarapa coastlines. To View More >>
